Jamaat Ahmadiyya al Mouslemeen
Friday Sermon of
10 April 2009
At Bait-ul-Rahma Mosque |
“...An Imam, whether he is an Imam Mahdi (one guided by God) or any other Imam, is only required when the clergy of that religion has decayed and has become corrupt. If the leadership of a religion is not corrupt and is honest, there is no need for Allah to send anyone from himself -- or is there?...” Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad (ra) |
After reading the Tashahhud, the Ta’uz and the first chapter of the Holy Quran, Hazrat Amirul Mo’menine, Zafrullah Domun said: Recently I came across a Friday Sermon that the late caliph Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad delivered on 1st March 1996 in London. The Urdu text of this sermon is published in Alfazl International of 19th April 1996. He was commenting on the following verses of the Holy Quran:
The translation of these verses is as follows:
Commenting upon these verses he said:
The paraphrase is mine. Several times in the past I have quoted Hazrat Masih Maood (as) to bring home the argument that the door for the arrival of people from Allah within Jamaat Ahmadiyya will remain open until the last day. Despite the fact that I have shown very clear extracts from the writings of Hazrat Masih (as), the caliph and his ulamas continue to ignore what I am saying. Furthermore they are not at all ready to enter into a dialogue with us to at least dispel our misunderstanding. But they continue to try to propagate their limited understanding of Ahmadiyyat to the world. In the light of the above extract that flowed from the mouth of someone they revere do they have the right of this da’wat or is it that Allah has put someone else here fro this da’wat. The caliph tells the Ahmadis that he has his authority from Allah and yet Allah tells someone else in the Jamaat through revelation to look after the Jamaat and to call people towards Him. By the grace of Allah several times Allah has said to this humble servant
Sometimes I have received the word “arsalnaaka”(We have sent you) and at times I have received “ja’alnaaka”(We have made you) a Witness, a bearer of glad tidings and as a Warner And as a Summoner unto Allah by His Command and as a light giving lamp.” Similarly Allah has also said to me: “Qul inna salati wa nosoki wa mahyaya wa mamaati lillahe rabbil aalaameen wa be zaaleka omirto wa ana awwaloul mouslemeen”. The translation is as follows: “Say my prayer and my sacrifice and my life and my death are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds. And so I am commanded and I am the first of those who submit.” Similarly I may also add that on Monday last Allah revealed to me “wa man tawallaw faqad maata mamatan jahalia”. The translation is “whoever turns away he will die the death of ignorance.” The meaning that I have been given to understand is whoever turns away from the message that you are propagating. Now it is quite well-known that the Holy Prophet Mohammad (saw) is reported to have said “Man Lam ya’rif imama zamanehi faqad maata mamatan jahelia”. It means “whoever does not recognize the imam of his times will die the death of ignorance”. Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad has lenghthily commented upon this hadith in his book the need for the imam (www.alislam.org/library). You may also find the gist of what he said on www.jaam-international.org in my sermons of 4th, 11th and 18th April 2008. If you take into consideration the comments of the Promised Messiah on this hadith you can easily understand how far the Ahmadis have drifted from their true teachings. Since Allah has previously revealed to me “ja’aalani rabbi imamal muttaqeen”, i.e “My Lord has made an imam for the God-fearing people” one can easily understand who has been invested with the authority to call people towards Allah and who does not have the authority but yet it is engaged in that task. I request you here to re-read the extract from the late fourth caliph. A very pertinent question that we need to answer here is that since we do not have any link with the late fourth caliph because he removed us from his jamaat, what is the relevance of quoting him. The answer is a very simple one. These days Ahmadis’ understanding of the Holy Quran is what their caliphs understand. Hence I quote what their caliphs says because being ignorant they almost do not know anything. There is a great need to educate them in religious lore which unfortunately they have forgotten. As long as there is no one from Allah who questions the understanding of the caliphs such a situation is tolerable. But once someone from the Jamaat of Hazrat Masih Maood (as) says that he is commissioned from Allah, it is incumbent upon the caliph and all opinion leaders within the Jamaat to examine what is being said and not to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear o it and keep all Ahamdis in ignorance. By not doing so the leaders of the Jamaat, in an attempt to preserve the status and hence their vested interests they ignore the clear teachings of the Holy Quran and that of Hazrat Masih Maoodas. And hence they are corrupt because what they teach is not what was taught. You might think that this is from me. No it is not. This is what the late caliph himself has said. I will quote him again. He was asked about the Imam Mahdi and the need for an Imam and among other things he said: It is a well known fact that many Ahmadis especially those in Mauritius are patiently waiting for the words of the late fourth caliph to be accomplished concerning us. As far as I am concerned the late caliph being a human being made a very grievous mistake when he said very unkind words against us. But I forgive him and hope that Allah will forgive him. But to all those who are still waiting for his unkind words to be fulfilled and who are expecting us to be punished by Allah, I want to tell them to stop entertaining such hopes. To them I will say what Allah has just revealed to me“ Alayhim daaeratous saw wa ghazeballaho alayhim wa wa a adda lahoum azaaban alima” the meaning , as I have been given to understand is “On them will be misfortune and Allah’s anger and He has promised them a severe punishment” I humbly request them to look at the situation of the Jamaat here in Mauritius or even around the world and to wonder how much progress the Jamaat has made spiritually speaking. I do not say that no evil is going to touch me or us. This life is a trial and all of us have to go through all the trials that come our way. The Holy Quran is very clear on this matter. By putting us here to work for His Deen Allah has conferred a favor upon all the Muslim Umma and especially on Jamaat Ahmadiyya. By ignoring what we have to say all Muslims but specially members and leaders of Jamaat Ahmadiyya are making a very grave mistake. Allah will bring reform within the Jamaat as He has been making reforms throughout the ages and that is through raising someone through direct revelation from Himself. It is by rejecting what I am saying that Jamaat Ahmadiyya is proving that it did not understand the message of the promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). I also hope that in the light of what I have said above it becomes quite clear what is the difference between joining me and remaining aloof from me. If someone receives the permission of Allah to call others to the path of Allah that person is a chosen one of Allah. Others may say or declare that Allah has put them here to call others to His path. They have a right to say so. But according to someone whom Ahmadis consider to be an authority, namely the late 4th caliph as mentioned in the above quotation, only that calling is the true one which is made with the permission of Allah. Allah has said to this humble one to call people towards Him and to establish a bond with them by taking the oath of allegiance from them. Several times he has revealed to me “He who swears allegiance to you swears allegiance to Allah. Allah’s Hand is above their hand.” But at the same time even the day before yesterday Allah revealed to me: “wa man nakasa fa innama yankoso ala nafsehi. Wa man awfa bema aahadoullahe alayhi fa sa you’tihe ajran azima.” The translation is “Whosoever breaks his oath braeks it to his own loss; whoever fulfills his covenant that he has made with Allah, He will surely give him a great reward.” I repeat telling you these revelations because they are revealed to me quite often. In fact they are the authority that I have been invested with to do what I am doing. Moreover this is a constant reminder to our own members. Allah knows best. My task is only to convey to you this message. What you do with it is up to you. May Allah forgive us all and guide us always to the right path.
