Jamaat Ahmadiyya al Mouslemeen Friday Sermon of Hazrat Amirul Momeneen Zafrullah Domun 06 November 2009 At
Bait-ul-Rahma Mosque After reciting the Tauz, the Tashahhud and the first chapter of the Holy Qur’an, Hazrat Amir ul Mo’meneen Zafrullah Domun said: I will not stop repeating that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas, the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat was a man endowed with extraordinary spiritual insights. In his books, discourses and casual conversations and letters he has shared with us what Allah has taught him and what he himself learned through his personal experience. Anyone who reads his writing will never fail to be impressed by what he said unless, of course one’s heart is unclean and one is not at all interested in living a life devoted to Allah . Several times I have during my sermons quoted a lot from Hazrat Ahmad’s writings so that those who might read me might know what a sea of knowledge was this man. As I have repeatedly been saying many of the revelations that Allah gave Hazrat Masih Maoodas, He has graciously given to me as well. I do not at all pretend to have received all the revelations that Allah gave him. But as he said that having a bay’at with him means that one will partake of the spiritual blessings that Allah gave him. By the Grace of Allah I have been claiming since some time now that I am one of those persons whom I think Allah has blessed with some of the blessings that he gave to Hazrat Ahmadas. By the Grace of Allah I have been reading his writings since more than thirty years by now and I am still drinking deeply at this fountainhead of real spiritual life and I keep learning new things almost every time I read or re read his writings. In my previous sermons I have been explaining the first chapter of the Holy Quran as I understood it from what I had read in his commentaries in both Urdu and English. Unfortunately since some time I was looking for the English translation of all his comments on this first chapter but I had misplaced the book. I had been searching for the book now almost for five weeks. I checked where I might get one. I was on the point of even requesting one from Dar us salam. But when I woke up on Tuesday last I started making a prayer for recovering lost objects. I had barely made the prayer for about five minutes when all of a sudden I got the book. Now incha Allah I will be reading and quoting profusely from this book to help you to know more about what he has taught us. Hence you will be able to judge by yourself how expansive has been his explanations of this chapter of the Holy Quran and how wide the door for the coming of people from Allah has been flung open by him. When I spoke about Allah being the rabb I was thinking of giving you
the following explanation but it was not on hand then. Since I have the
book with me now I would like to share this quotation with you so that you
might also partake in this spiritual delight. Hazrat Masih
Maoodas says in his book “Favours of the Beneficent”(Minan “According to Lisanal Arab and Tajul Urus, the two most authentic lexicons, the Arabic word rabb has seven connotations, namely: Malik (Master), Sayyad (Chief), Mudabbir (Determiner) Murabbi (Provider), Qayyum (Sustainer), Mun'im (Rewarder), Mutammim (Perfecter). Of these seven three are connotative of Divine greatness. One of these is Malik. In Arabic Malik is one whose hold on that which he owns is complete and who can use it in any way he pleases and who has sole title to it, with no one having any share in it. In the fullest sense of its meaning it is not applicable to anyone besides God, the Most High; for, complete hold, complete power of user and complete title are not admissible except for God, the Supreme” (Minanur Rahman, pp.7-8 marginal note 18). In another extract while he explains about Rabbi/alameen he gives us a very important insight in the practice (sunnat) of Allah. He says: “In His word Rabbilaalameen, Allah, the holy, points out that He is the Creator of everything and from Him has emanated everything that is in the heavens and in the earth. The word aalameen encompasses all that is found in the world, of the groups of the guided as well as the parties of the misguided and the lost. At times, the alam (realm) of misguidance and disbelief and transgression and excess flourishes until the earth becomes full of injustice and tyranny and people abandon the ways of Allah, the Lord of Majesty….” Mark these words well. I personally think that we are living such a period in the history of Jamaat ahmadiyya. Mind you I am not saying Islam. I am speaking of Jamaat Ahmadiyya because despite what the jamaat says to the contrary, Hazrat Masih Maoodas has told us in very clear words that a jamaat gets corrupted as it moves away from the time of its founder. Any cursory reading of the book “The Triumph of Islam” will be sufficient to help an Ahmadi to understand this. He then continues: “They appreciate not the true nature of the relationship subsisting between the Creator and His creatures and -do not render that which is due to Him as Provider and Sustainer. The world becomes dark like the blackest night and faith is pulverized under this affliction…” In Jamaat Ahmadiyya we have been introduced to a new doctrine known as “Khilafat” and many unislamic practices are being committed in its name. Members are more concerned in obeying the caliph and his administration rather than Allah and His prophet. He continues: “Then Allah initiates another alam (realm) and the earth is replaced with another earth and a fresh decree descends from heaven and men are granted perceiving hearts and eloquent tongues to render thanks to Allah for His bounties.” Here again I advise you to note these words. These are not mine. Hazrat Masih Maood as says that “a fresh decree descends from heaven”. As a result some people understand with their heart and they are able to distinguish between what is right and what is wrong and they are thankful to Allah for His Favours. They do not say like the impudent “Why should Allah send these Favours?” Hazrat Masih continues and says: “Then they make their selves lowly like frequented paths, before the Lord of Greatness and run to Him in fear and hope, their eyes downcast with modesty and their faces turning wistfully to the Provider of all needs with a resolve in submissiveness that knocks at the very top of the heights. Such people are needed most when the nadir of misguidance has been reached and through degradation of their condition people turn into beasts and animals. It is at this moment that Divine compassion and His eternal favour urge that a person be raised in heaven, who should dispel darkness and demolish that which Satan has built and raised up. Then an Imam (leader) descends from the Rahman (the Gracious One) to fight the armies of Satan and these two forces join battle - only those perceive them who are gifted with insight - until falsehood is fettered and its mirage-like reasoning is obliterated. That Imam dominates the enemy and lends constant support to the rightly guided raising aloft the banners of guidance reviving the seasons and gathering of piety until people come to realize that he has succeeded in capturing the ringleaders of disbelief, fastening hard their fetters and has rounded up the beasts of falsehood and has placed halters round their necks and has destroyed the structures of innovations, dismantling their domes and has consolidated the word of Faith, and strengthened its organization and has reinforced the dominion of heaven and has closed every breach and has refurnished its glory and has straightened up its affairs and has tranquillized trembling hearts and has sealed up false tongues and has illumined dark minds and has renovated the dilapidated power. This is ever the way of God, until darkness is dispelled and misguidance fades away. At this point the enemies turn on their heels and pull down the tents they had pitched and unravel the knots they had tied.” This is again another of the many extracts where Hazrat Masih Maoodas says that when there is a need Allah sends someone from himself to put things right. Here he does not speak about any man made system. He speaks about Allah’s ways of doing things. Allah knows the heart of all men and women. He knows who is the one He will raise for the guidance of others. For this He needs not ask any one’s permission. Whenever such a person comes everyone is put to trial whether he or she accepts what Al Rahman is doing or in his ignorance he would say he knows better. Hazrat Masih continues and says: The most honoured of all the worlds and the most marvelous of the whole of creation are the group of Prophets and Apostles and the righteous, the true servants of Allah, for they excel all the rest, in propagating righteousness, removing injustices, reforming conduct, wishing their own and all others well, inculcating peace and truthfulness, uprooting vice and evil, exhorting to virtue, forbidding unlawfulness, subduing passions, turning to the Lord of the obedient, disenchantment with new and old gains and gods, persisting in obedience to Allah with full strength and complete preparation, mounting assault on the progeny of Satan with mustered troops and organised bodies, withdrawing from the world for the sake of the Beloved Creator, exiling themselves from its verdant spots and abandoning its springs and meadows like emigrants and bending their heads in His Presence. They surely are a people whose eyes are overtaken by sleep while they are still absorbed in their love for Allah and in prayer for their people.
In the eyes of its votaries the world is beautiful and attractive,
but in the eyes of these people (the Prophets and Apostles and the
righteous and the true) it is more offensive than offal and more
evil-smelling than carrion. They turn to Allah with al their minds and
bend down before Him with full sincerity of heart. As the foundations of a
structure have priority over windows and cupboards to be constructed, so
have these exalted ones priority over all other classes of the virtuous in
this world. I have been shown in a vision that the most perfect, the most
honored, the most God-conscious and the most knowledgeable of them all, is
our elect Prophet, salutations and peace be on him both in this world and
in the high heavens' and that the most unfortunate of the people are those
whose tongues lashed out at him attacking him, finding fault with him and
caviling at him without being privy to Divine secrets. Many there are who
are reviled in the earth but are commended by Allah in the heavens; and
many there are who are accounted great in this abode who will be
humiliated on the Day of Requital.”(Ijazul Masih
128-135). This is another quotation that I am giving to those who think that khilafat has substituted Allah’s favours on His servants. Incha Allah in the coming weeks I will give some more quotations which will help all readers to understand that Allah will continue to shower special blessings on this umma by sending some persons from time to time who will be the manifestation of His Being. Allah will be sending them because of His Rahmaniyyat and that is why sometimes He says to these chosen ones “You are a mercy for mankind”. The meaning is very simple. But those whose heart are crooked would try to search for crooked meanings out of these. For example they would say “such words are exclusively reserved for the Holy Prophet Mohammad saw”. But Allah does what He likes. By saying such words, I think Allah’s aim is to tell mankind as a whole that you are all my creatures. Out of mercy for you and because I want you all to be saved I send you someone who may help you in your task and make it easy for you. He is Allah and he has a lot of concern for mankind. But those who have a vested interest in an established order would never understand Allah’s purpose. Being ignorant of Allah’s teachings they would be every eager to put forward their own interpretations. Were they fully convinced of the solidity of their arguments they would have argued as civilized people are supposed to do. They would have come in the open by giving arguments and not just unsubstantiated opinions. They would have welcome a debate which is threatening the status quo by being humble enough to think about the consequences if their behavior is duplicating that of the opponents of the prophets of yore. They would not have the pedantry to say that they know better because they have something known as khilafat and their movement is gaining ground around the world by recruiting paper Ahmadis. Hazrat Masih Maoodas was a lion in the discussion arena. Today by the Grace of Allah as a true follower of Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas I am here waiting for those who pretend to be his true followers to challenge what I am saying. Where are they? We invite all the opponents to confront us But no one dares to enter the field. Then how dare you say you are a follower of that great champion of Islam, Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas? Again as a manifestation of His Mercy and with no disparagement at all to the Holy Prophet Mohammadsaw or to Hazrat Masih Maoodas Allah revealed to me on Wednesday in Arabic: “Qul in kountoum tohibbounallah fattabeouni youhbib komoullah wa yaghfirlakoum zonoubakoum. Wa man yoteoullaha wa rasoulohou fawqad faaza fawzan azima” The translation is: “Say if you love Allah follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you yours sins. He who obeys Allah and His Messenger will achieve a supreme triumph”. The Message is clear. Blessed are those who understand and follow it. May Allah be with you all. More incha Allah next time. |
