After reciting the Tashahhud, the Ta’uz and the first chapter Al Fatiha Imam Zafrullah Domun said:

In the past I made a series of sermons in which I spoke to you about the comments of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadason surah Al Fatiha. Today incha Allah I will read to you some more extracts from his writings. When we read what Hazrat Masih Maood as has written we can just marvel at his wisdom. Fortunately for us we are aware of what he said and by the Grace of Allah we are able even to challenge those of his adherents who want to pervert his teachings in order to maintain a system that he did not envisage at all. Anyhow allow me to give you some additional spiritual pearls that he penned.  Speaking about how Islam is a living religion that can show  its vitality even today, he says:

“If Allah, the Sublime, has sealed up His grace and locked it away, then what was the point in teaching us the prayer: Guide us along the straight path, the path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy favours ? It means tying the hands and feet of a person and then beating him for not being able to walk. How can he walk? He Himself closed the doors of grace and bliss and still directed that the supplication: Guide us along the straight path; should be made several times in every Prayer service. If He had ordained that miracles and blessings would end after the Holy Prophet and none of the ummat were destined to receive aught of grace and blessing, then what was the purpose of this prayer? If this prayer is productive of no results, then what is the difference between the effectiveness and results of this teaching and those of the Christian doctrine? The New Testament also says that Christians could move mountains by following Jesus but now they can hardly put a shoe straight. It is written that they would reproduce his miracles but they can reproduce not a thing. It is written that if they ate poison it would not hurt them. But now snakes and dogs bite them and they die of these venoms and can show no miracle through prayer. Their failure to reproduce a sign through acceptance of prayer is a strong argument to demonstrate the falsehood of the current Christian doctrine, that it lacks soul and vitality. This is proof that they have abandoned the way of their Prophet. If we too were to concede that miracles and signs have ceased and that this prayer that we have been taught is without any result and reaction, would it not mean that all our effort is vain? God forbid! Nay, God, the Lord of Wisdom, maintains intact the effectiveness of Prophethood and has instituted this Movement to bear witness to this truth (Al- Hakam, May 31, 1903).

In this extract Hazrat Masih has refuted the arguments of those who put restrictions on the manifestations of Allah saying that such spiritual manifestation was only for a period of time and not now. Such people believe that in the time of the Holy Prophet Allah manifested Himself and then afterwards, naouzobillah Allah had stopped manifesting Himself. Through his god-given wisdom Hazrat Masih Maood as was convinced that Allah will continue to manifest Himself on His chosen servants until the day of resurrection and he has repeatedly told us about this in his writings. In fact when we see these manifestations of Allah we can only bow our head in front of Him and we say like those believers of yore “sada qallaho wa rasoulohou” meaning “Allah and His Prophet spoke the truth”.  Still speaking about the prayer taught to all Muslims in Sura Al Fatiha Hazrat Masih Maood as says:

It (the prayer) means: Lord, grant us the approach to Thy nearness and love and knowledge that Thou didst grant to the Prophets and the holy ones and the pious. This shows that God is not niggardly. Thus as a person can attain the grade of Prophets as their spiritual reflection, what is there to prevent him reaching the spiritual dignity of the members of the Holy Prophet's household or of Imam Husain? If the doors to Divine favour and love and knowledge were not open, and all three excellences were to come to an end with Ali or Imam Husain or some other member of the Holy Prophet's household then Islam would hardly stay in its original shape and the repetition of the prayer for the path of the favoured ones would be vain. God, the Sublime, however, is not niggardly towards His servants. Whoever seeks shall find (Al-Badr, Sept. 25, 1903).

Continuing in the same vein he says:

“Allah, the Exalted, calls everyone vali (friend) and desires to make everyone a vali. That is why He directs us to pray to Him: Guide us along the straight path. He desires that you should become like the favoured group. He who says that he cannot be such, charges God with niggardliness. It is thus a blasphemous utterance (Al-Hakam, Oct. 10, 1905)

Mark these words well. If at the time of Hazrat Masih Maood as it concerned his enemies, today it concerns a majority of his followers. Why? Because they say that Allah cannot send anyone whilst a caliph is present. But these are mere words that come out of their mouths similar to many others that they are used to emit meaning nothing. For the past four years they have shown themselves to be totally inadequate in coming up with a logical explanation about their rejection of Allah’s appointees! Allah is never niggardly and He gives beyond measure to whom He wishes despite the protest of those who think that they are His chosen ones. Hazrat Masih in another extract says:

“Remember, the grace of God knows no bounds. One who limits it limits God and makes His word meaningless. Such a one must explain how he can restrict the excellences and favours enjoyed by those who preceded us while he keeps seeking them through the prayer: Guide us along the straight path, the path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy favours. If they have been restricted, as the Shias say, to the twelve Imams, then why do the Shias recite the Fatiha in their Prayers? It imparts a teaching contrary to their belief and charges God with restricting excellences to the twelve Imams and, at the same time, urging people to seek them till the Day of Judgment. It does not behove a believer to lose heart. Progress towards higher grades in nearness to the Divine has no limit. It is a great mistake to limit something to a particular person (Al- Badr, June 8, 1904).”

These are the words of Hazrat Masih Maood as. They are available in our books. They are published on mainstream’s Jamaats website. But the question is “are there readers among Ahmadis who are eager to take the logical conclusions from these texts?” For one hundred years these texts are available but most people prefer to ignore it even if Allah’s actions are showing them that their beliefs are wrong. Hazrat Masih says in another extract:

“One who comes to God with a true heart does not go back empty-handed. What is needed is a pure mind. The teaching of the prayer: Guide us along the straight path, the path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Favours; and stress on it becomes meaningless otherwise. If those gifts and bounties are no longer to be bestowed on anyone then what is the purpose of making this supplication repeatedly in the five daily Prayer services? It is a grave error that has become widespread among the Muslims, for the very beauty and charm of Islam lie in the fact that its blessings and its grace and the fruits of its pure teachings are ever available in abundance. This is the belief of all the Sufis and great leaders of the faith. In fact they affirm that no one is a perfect follower of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) unless he assimilates his excellences in his own person as a reflection. This is indeed true. For it is necessary for perfect obedience to the Holy Prophet that its fruits should be reaped. When a person becomes fully obedient and completely effaces himself in submission to the Holy Prophet saw , his state is comparable to that of a mirror placed right in front which receives and reproduces a complete reflection. I can never endorse the restriction of Divine Grace, blessings and qualities that accrue through perfect obedience to the Holy Prophet saw. I regard such a though as blasphemous.(Al Hakam Oct 10, 1905).”

So today all those Ahmadis who continue to entertain and spread the erroneous idea that divine blessings have been restricted not only to Hazrat Masih Maoodas but to his caliphs are committing blasphemy according to the above extracts of Hazrat Masih Maood as. Through their ignorance of what Hazrat Masih Maoodas has really said these people are saying preposterous utterances and there is no one amongst them to tell them that they are wrong. But in conformity with the extracts from the writings of Hazrat Masih Maood as that I am reading and have read to you, Allah through His sheer Grace has put this humble one here to go against this wrong belief of the Ahmadis. We have to swim against this current of misguidance. That is why Allah has reinforced His Servant’s heart with words like “you can swim against the current” meaning that this humble one and his friends have the capacity to maintain this belief which is against the common official Ahmadiyya belief. I can tell you that Allah is my witness that for several years I have tried to read my prayers with utter concentration. I have been following the advice of Hazrat Masih of repeating the prayers of Sura Fatiha many times and when I say “siratal lazina an’amta alayhim”, I have always remembered the Favours that should be expected as Hazrat Masih had advised. By the Grace of Allah many times Allah has said to me “ Innaka tahdi ila siratim moustaqeem”meaning “ you surely guide to the straight path” and ”Innaka ala siratim moustaqeem” meaning “ you are on the right path”. Besides Allah continues telling me to stick to what I am being asked to do despite all the difficulties that may come in my path. So by the Grace of Allah we in Jamaat Ahmadiyya al Mouslemeen have a confirmation from Allah that our stand is the right one. If the mainstream Jamaat also have the same or a similar guarantee they should publish it and let us know about it. In another extract Hazrat Masih Maood as says:

“ By teaching the prayer “Guide us to the right path , the path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Favours  He gave to all true seekers the glad tidings that they could attain through obedience to the chosen Prophet , the formal and the spiritual knowledge that was bestowed directly on the prophets. It is in this sense that the divines have been called the heirs of the prophets. If they cannot inherit the spiritual insights then how can they be the true heirs? (Buraheen Ahmadiyya Vol 3 pa 237, footnote).

Everyone should meditate upon these words. Allah true to His words wants to bestow favours upon the Jamaat of Hazrat Masih Maoodas by sending them guides to keep them on the straight path. This is a clear promise that will go on and on until the day of resurrection if the people follow the guides. But if the people think that they are smarter than Allah and they will keep guides of their own choice this Favour will be taken away from them. We members of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen should always stick to the teachings of the Holy Quran and never allow ourselves to be distracted by worldly gains. Worldy gains if ever there is should make us more thankful and humble and more inclined to the Lord. If we do not cultivate such a spirit and bequeath it to our children we would be most unfortunate. May Allah help all of us to understand His Purpose and may we devote our lives to the achievement of this purpose.
