After reciting the Tashahhud, the Ta’uz and the first chapter of Al Fatiha Imam Zafrullah Domun said:

Today is already a fortnight since the Lahore tragedy that took place in two Ahmadiyya Mosques in Lahore. From the different reports that I have been able to read on the net, the number of people who died in these terrorist attacks are between 86 and 100. The Alfazl from Rabwah dated 8th June 2010 reported 86 and all other reports were nearer to the figure 100. Anyhow whether it is one or 100, what is a fact is that all Ahmadis around the world have been shocked with what happened in Lahore on that fateful day of 28th May 2010.

The reaction so far has been almost overwhelming both in Pakistan and around the world. In Pakistan the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has condemned these attacks and according to one newspaper report he said that it was nations which fight terrorism, and not the governments, and urged the masses to forge unity among their ranks to fight the menace of terrorism as well as to resolve their problems. “Terrorists have no religion and no limits. They can attack anyone anywhere,” he said and condemned the attack at Qadyanis’ worship places in Lahore. Mian Nawaz Sharif said the minorities were also part of this nation and an asset to the country and added that it was the responsibly of the government to provide protection to everyone..
He also termed the terrorists attack at the worship places of Ahmadis in model town and Ghari Shahu condemnable adding that Ahmadis are our brethren and asset for the country. He also informed that the elements involved in firing at Ahmadis worship places have been arrested and law enforcement agencies have been carrying out investigations with them.

But as soon as his declaration was published representatives from the international movement of Khatme Nabuwwat condemned his declaration saying plenty of negative comments about Nawaz Sharif and about the Ahmadis. They said that Nawaz Sharif should present his apologies to the Muslims for saying that Ahmadis are “our brothers”. Furthermore they said that those who side with the Ahmadis will not get the intercession of the Holy Prophet on the Day of Judgment. A spokesman from the Association of Ulemas has said that Nawaz Sharif should take his words back because he has offended the whole umma by making such declarations. Others have said that they will continue to protest throughout Pakistan until Nawaz Sharif presents his excuses. Anyhow from the Mullahs there are many other similar comments but the former Prime Minister has not backed down yet.

Similarly due to the initiative of a woman MP, Ms Sherry Rehman in the National Assembly of Pakistan the twin attacks on Ahmadis were condemned. It appears from a newspaper report that “it was after an apparent hesitation and a bold initiative by some women that the National Assembly on Thursday unanimously condemned Friday’s “barbaric massacre” of Ahmadis in Lahore.Furthermore she demanded that a full inquiry should be made into those killings. Future events will tell us how far they can go.

Members of the Jamaat should know that since the beginning members of the Jamaat have been persecuted by those Muslim Ulemas who think that they have a sort of divine right to decide who is a Muslim and who is not. Such bigotry has prevailed for a long time within Islam and many innocent people have lost their lives as a consequence of the prevalence of such ignorance. In a hadith the Holy Prophet saw is reported to have said:

The time is near in which nothing will remain of Islam but its name, and of the Kuran but its mere appearance, and the mosques of Muslims will be destitute of of knowledge and worship; and the learned will be the worst people under the heavens; and contention and strife will issue from them, and it will return upon themselves.”(Mishkaat)

These days unfortunately we see that there are many places to which this hadith aptly refers to. And one such place is Pakistan and all the other backward countries and groups where they practice the intolerant Islam. There are many these days who would easily boycott or cause harm to a Muslim just because his or her beliefs are slightly different from their own. Jamaat Ahmadiyya was created under divine guidance to bring all Muslims under one flag, that of Islam. Unfortunately Muslims because of their crass ignorance of spiritual matters and their strict adherence to what they think is true Islam have taken their savior as their enemy. The result is that these days but especially throughout the 20th century Islam went from being a World force to being split into 56 states where the Muslims are a majority. Meanwhile they have lost Palestine and they are still reeling under their defeats from the hands of the Jews and Christian nations namely America, France and Britain. Due to their incapacity and inadequacy they have not been able to even fight their enemies and everywhere they have lost ground, in the figurative and literal sense also. Anyhow that is another story which needs to be explored and told.

The first person who was murdered for his belief in the Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as was Syed Abdul Latif of Afghanistan. At that time in 1903, Afganistan was being ruled by a king of infamous reputation. Because of the inhuman treatment that he and his mullahs meted out to Syed Abdul Latif shaheed, he would later lose his throne. Since then history is witness that Afghanistan does not know peace because it killed peace and even today people over there are still living in miserable conditions. Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was so proud of his disciple Syed Abdul Latif sahib that he wrote a book relating his martyrdom published under the title Tazkeratoush Shahadatein (Story of two martyrs). He ended the book with the following ode in praise of that brave person from Afghanistan Syed Abdul Latif of blessed memory. In view of its importance I will give you its translation. He says:

O Abdul Latif may thousands of blessings be showered on thee, for thou hast, in my own lifetime, manifested unparalleled fidelity for me and I do not know how my followers will behave when I am no more among them.

That courageous man, the beloved of God the Creator, did at last prove his mettle.

He surrendered his life for the sake of the True Beloved (God) as he was completely disinterested in this ephemeral world.

The wilderness of life is full of diverse dangers, as millions of deadly serpents wait in every nook and cranny.

Millions of fires are seen with flames reaching up to the sky where fierce and truculent storms are all raging overhead.

There is a distance of millions of leagues between thee and thy Beloved's abode and there exist numberless thorny jungles and countless dangers.

Notice the cleverness and amazing performance of this Sheikh from 'Ajam: he traversed all this spiritual distance in one leap.

It is incumbent that the servant be completely engrossed in the service of the Master in a manner that he is always prepared to sacrifice his being in His service.

He surrendered his life as a sacrifice for the sake of the beloved and he swallowed even poison to acquire Him.

So long as one does not drink the deadly cup for the sake of the beloved, how could he, a mere chaff, acquire immunity from death?

Under such death there lie a hundred lives. If you wish the life eternal, then quaff the goblet full of death.

O ye, who is engrossed in greed and avarice, true longing for the beloved could not abide in thy mean heart.

O ye, whose heart is completely engrossed in the acquisition of mundane possessions and who has sacrificed his honour for sinful desires.

Million armies of devils are chasing thee so that thou mayest burn like straw in the fire of hell.

For the sake of some false hope or fear thy faith begins to quiver.

Do you trample the true faith of God under thy feet for the sake of this faithless abode?

This is what is known as the path of truth and purity; this is the ultimate aim of every man of true faith.

They live only for His sake and have no personal aims; they throw away their own lives in the path of the Lord.

They sever themselves from all worldly fame, honour and status; they surrender theirs and allow their crowns to be taken away from their heads for His sake.

Having relinquished their ego they approach Him through His remembrance and for the sake of the Beloved's Countenance they sacrifice their personal honours.

Even the mention of their names furnishes us with the opportunity of the remembrance of God, causing one's faith regarding the truth of God to be enhanced and causing joy for our hearts.

If thou be in the search of true faith, let this be your model, so shall it make the task of the seekers after truth very easy.

But you are fettered to the world; and if you die not for His sake, how could you reach the Beloved Friend?

O ye, the world-seeking dog, how can ye hope to reach the Beloved Friend?

Annihilate thyself in His path so that thou mayest inherit spiritual blessing; and surrender thy life so that a new life be given to you.

Thou art wasting thy life in pride and rancour having shut thine eyes from the path of truth and faith.

The pure-hearted have a strange affinity with the pure-hearted but the evil-minded ones always abhor the true pearl.

The secret of faith is sowing the seed of self-destruction; added to this one has to discard the material life.

When thou truly engageth thyself in bewailing before God Almighty, consequently someone is raised to lead people to the right path.

The heart aware of spiritual secrets bewails at the deplorable condition of the ignorant ones; and those gifted with the light of true knowledge feel pity, in their hearts for the blind ones.

The law of nature has been so ordained that the strong comes to the aid of the weak.

As I told you last week more than 300 Ahmadis have been killed since the creation of the Jamaat at the hands of those who profess that they are Muslims whereas Allah says in the Holy Quran:

Whoso kills a believer deliberately, his reward shall be hell, wherein he shall abide, and Allah will be angry with him and will cast him away and will prepare for him a great punishment (4:94)

Those who are thinking that they would be welcomed by the Holy Prophet Mohammad saw and Imam Hussein and virgins would do better to reflect on this verse of the Holy Quran.

Sometime back I spoke to you about the Amman Declaration where a blueprint has been put forward to stop Muslims killing each other. You may read my sermon of 16th April 2010 at www.jaam-international.org about this matter. It is quite unfortunate that the so-called Ulemas of Pakistan do not accept such initiatives. It is also quite sad that Christians despite their differences are not at each other’s throat. But Muslims who are supposed to be “the best people raised for the guidance of mankind” cannot tolerate differences of opinion and resort to violence. We should strive and pray that Allah opens the heart of the people that might learn and practice the Islam brought and preached by the noblest of prophets Hazrat Mohammadsaw. Let us pray that Allah gives guidance to the Muslim world Incha Allah.

Before ending I would like to share with you some of the revelations that I have received recently. They are as follows:

·         Maa Mohammaddoune aabaa ahadim mir rijaalekoum wa laa kil rasoulallahe wa khataman nabiyyeen wa kaanallaho be koulle shay’in ailma. Wa be zaaleka omirto wa ana awwaloul Mouslemeen.

Its translation is: “Mohammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the seal of prophets. Allah is aware of all things. To this I have been ordained and I am the first of the believers.”  These are two verses of the Holy Quran from two different places. But I have received them together to emphasize Jamaat Ahmadiyya’s view about them. If someone who does not know deeply what Hazrat Masih Maood as has said reads this he will not understand anything about why Allah has said this to this humble one . But if someone is well grounded in Ahmadiyyat he will quickly understand and bow his head.

 The next revelation is:

·         Iqtaraba linnaase hisaabahoum wa houm fi ghaflatin mo’rezoune : Fast approaching to men is the time of their reckoning and they turn away in negligence

·         Innas saa’ate la’aateyatoune laaghaiba fiha – The Hour will definitely come. There is no doubt about it

And this morning in response most probably to some supplications which I did yesterday I was told “Barti rahe khoda ki mohabbat khoda kare- haasil ho toum ko deen ki dawlat khoda kare”. These words may be translated as “May Allah make you progress in His Love; May Allah give you the wealth of religion”

Allah willing , I will talk more about these revelations in writings or other sermons.
