After reciting the Tashahhud, the Ta’uz and the first chapter Al Fatiha of the Holy Quran Imam Zafrullah Domun read the following verses of the Holy Quran in Arabic:

Inna Fatahna laka fatham mobina

Le yaghferakallaho maa taqaddama min zambeka wa maa ta’akh-khara

Wa le yotimma ne'matahou alayka wa yahdeyaka siratam moustaqima

Then he said:

The translation of these verses are as follows:”Verily, We have granted thee a clear victory, that Allah may cover up for thee thy shortcomings, past and future, and that He may complete His favour upon thee, and may guide thee on a right path;” [48:2-3]

By the Grace of Allah I received these verses as revelation in the beginning of the week. But as usual I prepared my sermon for today on Wednesday last and I did not mention that I have received these verses as revelation. Then yesterday I came to know that there has been a change of amir in the mainstream Jamaat Ahmadiyya of Mauritius. For those who have been reading our sermons these past weeks they should be quite aware about what we have been saying about him. We have been denouncing his misdeeds as amir and we have been criticizing the decision of the caliph to maintain him in office. At last most probably the cover-up could not contain the stench that was coming out from the amir’s misdeeds and the caliph was compelled to remove him. The pressure was so intense that he had to yield. Al hamdo lilla.

Besides the verses mentioned above, my Lord also graced me with the following revelations: “Wa maa ja’alahoullaho illa boushra lakoum wa letatmainna qoloubekoum behi. Wa man nasro illa min indillahil azizil hakim”. Its translation is “Allah has done this but as a glad tiding to you and that your heart might be contented with it. And there is no help but that which comes from Allah the Great and the Wise.” Furthermore Allah said to me “Iqtaraba tis saa’ato wan shaqqal qamar” which as you know means “The Hour has drawn near and the moon is rent asunder”. During the first week of April I also received “Balillaho mawlaakoum wa howa khayroun naasereen” which we translate as “Definitely it is Allah who is Your Protector and He is the Best of Helpers.” Concerning the Ahmadis as a whole I received “Afa bil baatele toumenouna wa be nematillah takforoune” meaning “Do you believe in what is false and you reject Allah’s Favours?” In addition I also received the following verses of one of the poems of Hazrat Masih Maoodas: “Qadir hai who baargah tota kaam banaé ,bana bana ya tordeh koyi ouss ka bhed na jaané”. We usually translate these as follows:

All Powerful and Almighty is the Lord Allah
An affair that had failed and broken to pieces, He can If He wills crown with success
And He also has the power to smash it up and reduce it to nothing that which stood accomplished and complete.

There is none who can read the stupendous import of His profound Mysteries.”

Now some of you might ask why I am speaking about my revelations today. The fact is that almost all these revelations were pointing to the event that was to happen sooner or later, that is the removal of the amir of the mainstream Ahmadiyya Jamaat in Mauritius. This amir has done almost irreparable damage to the Jamaat through his misguided decisions supported by his inner circle including missionaries, finance committee members and Amila members, and above all enjoying the caliph’s and Tabshir’s blessings from London. I remember that since he started his campaign to denigrate us and ingratiate his masters from abroad in 2001, Allah had informed many of our members of what will happen to him. Through dreams and revelations Allah helped us to understand that He will humiliate this man and all those who have helped him to commit his misdeeds. Unfortunately for him what is happening these days is not his end. It is the beginning of his end. According to the dream that one of our members saw his humiliation will be pitiable. When he was informed in 2003 that his days were near, as is his wont, he jokingly said “they are speaking about Amine Dada” because in those days Amine Dada was sick or he just died. Allah knows best. Through his mastery of deceit he was able to deceive everyone for about thirteen years. When he reported to the caliph for the expulsion of our brother Dr Mahmud Sooltangos he told the caliph that such a person is like a cancer and he has to be removed. But today we ask who has been the real cancer gnawing at the heart of the Jamaat for almost thirteen years, with the blessings of the caliph and the collaboration of his inner circle. Today where are those who from England and from Mauritius jumped to their amir’s help because they thought he was weak and I was strong? So they thought that he had to be supported against me.

Today Allah has proved all of them wrong in their thinking. The fourth caliph has been proved wrong because his choice over time has proven to be catastrophic for the Jamaat Ahmadiyya of Mauritius. The fifth caliph has been proved wrong because he maintained that man in office for about eight years and now he has yielded to pressure to remove him. It shows that caliphs do not have any prescience at all. They are just human beings and very often they fail in judging men. The members of the Amila have been proved wrong because of their passivity, they have sanctioned all the misdeeds of their leader. Out of an ignorance of basic Islamic principles they feared to question their amir and they have allowed him to continue to do wrong. When Mobasshir spoke against him in the Amila the amir was quick to report him and to get him expelled because truth was bitter to him and to all the members of the Amila. The amir has violated the trust placed in him and this is a very serious crime. What he has done is worse than what the cashier did. How come that the cashier was expelled but not the amir? That is Ahmadiyya Justice! And they speak about the re-institution of khilafat! They should learn from the previous caliphs how to apply Islamic justice.

Anyhow, as far as we are concerned we are happy today because Allah has shown that He has stood by us. Despite all the help that he could muster the amir of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Mauritius has failed to protect his office. If he had some decency he would have left the office before he was expelled from it. But he clung to the last moment thinking that his bankers might help him even here. But once Allah decrees something, who can change that decree? Did not Allah repeatedly tell His servant “Inni mohinoun man arada inhanataka” meaning “I will humiliate he who tries to humiliate you”. This is just another example of how Allah has humiliated someone who wanted to see our humiliation. So let those who have eyes see what has happened to those amongst you who try to oppose His Will. One by one they have been humiliated. There is no need to mention their names here. But just try to think for a moment and see what has happened to those who have tried to cross swords with us. The members of the mainstream Jamaat have to repent and change course or one by one they will suffer more humiliation. Once Allah has chosen your Imam for your own benefit do not give preference to your choice by taking another one. In the eyes of Allah you do not know and you are too impotent to counter His will. So take heed o men of understanding!

As I have been repeatedly saying, Allah raises or sends an Imam for the people for their spiritual benefit. If the people listen to the advice of their Imam they will benefit spiritually. Had Jamaat Ahmadiyya mainstream been fulfilling this function most of its people should not be going astray. But what do we see. Amirs who are in the forefront of those who are in direct contact with their caliph have failed many times. What is unfortunate is that some have even been proved to be untrustworthy. So if caliphs as leaders were enough for the spiritual well-being of the members why is it that so many amirs and missionaries fail? As spiritual leader the caliph should have been in a position to advise his amirs and correct their shortcomings. For those who know the Mauritian amir closely his spiritual disease is quite apparent. He should have been given the proper feedback and asked to bring about the necessary self reforms. But we see that this has not been the case. We need to ask why. Then may be, Allah willing, we will get the appropriate answer. Once we know the cause of a problem we need do the needful to correct it.

Why is it that within Jamaat Ahmadiyya there are so many problems? Despite what Hazrat Masih Maoodas has told us we see there are many dishonest people who act dishonestly with others within the Jamaat. There are some who do not return the money that was loaned to them. Some are taking the wives of others. Many are dishonest with their own wives. Many women do not care at all for the Islamic Purdah and they go about in mixed societies without even a head covering. There are some who are resorting to cinemas to watch films. Can all these people be allowed to stay in Jamaat Ahmadiyya? All such people are a stain on the Jamaat of Hazrat Masih Maoodas and they have to be removed. They are not at all interested in purifying themselves. They are more interested in following others rather than building an Islamic oriented society of their own. But they cannot be allowed to stay within the Jamaat and follow the western eccentricities.

Allah out of His Mercy sends the Ahmadis a guide and he speaks with the person so that you might know how Allah considers His chosen one. For the last 10 years many of the Ahmadis in Mauritius thought that my friends and I are going astray. Since they do not know enough of the Holy Quran, this opinion of theirs is put in their head by their caliph through his local representatives, amirs and missionaries, Sadrs and Amila members. When the fourth caliph said that “their end will be fearful” most of them thought that this would happen soon. But what has happened? Allah continued to talk with us. He encourages us not to deviate from the right path to which He has guided us. He shows His kindness by telling us that He has perfected His Favours upon us. Any good and pure hearted Ahmadi who has studied “Tazkera”, the book of revelations and dreams of Hazrat Masih Maood cannot fail to see some resemblance between what is there and what Allah has revealed to this humble one. A good Ahmadi is not someone who just says “we have khilafat”. A good Ahmadi is someone who constantly thinks about his own reform and that of his family members and that of his neighborhood and eventually society at large. When we meet Allah He will not ask us how many people joined Ahmadiyyat through us. He will ask how far we fulfilled our obligations as a Muslim. So get your priorities right and understand how it is important for you to reform your own self.

As I told you in the beginning I intended to speak about Justice again. I wanted to share with you the inaugural address of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique when he first became caliph. He said:

I have been given the authority over you, and I am not the best of you. If I do well, help me; and if I do wrong, set me right. Sincere regard for truth is loyalty and disregard for truth is treachery. The weak amongst you shall be strong with me until I have secured his rights, if God wills; and the strong amongst you shall be weak with me until I have wrested from him the rights of others, if God wills. Obey me so long as I obey God and His Messenger. But if I disobey God and His Messenger, ye owe me no obedience. Arise for your prayer, God have mercy upon you.

This is the authority of the best of Muslims after the Holy Prophet Mohammadsaw. In these few sentences he laid down the principles of government in Islam for years to come. First of all he did not attribute to himself any superiority as amir. In one account he in fact used the word “I am your amir”. There was no emphasis that khilafat is starting with him. He was a human being and so he could make mistakes. He asked the Muslims to set him right if he made any mistake. He placed a great emphasis on the importance of truth. Then he said the words that would be repeated by Hazrat Umar later on and would be attributed to him. In the end he made it clear that obedience to him was conditional upon his obedience to Allah and His Messenger. If he were to disobey Allah and His messenger he told the Muslims that they do not owe him any obedience. He did not tell the people that they owe him obedience under all circumstances. He did not say that Allah will make his wrong decisions right. He did not tell the people that he will be guided by Allah and hence he will not make any mistake.

Today we will stop here. Incha Allah we will have more to speak about by next week.
