After reciting the Tashahhud, the Ta’uz and the first chapter Al Fatiha of the Holy Quran Imam Zafrullah Domun said:

In his sermon of last week the Ahmadiyya caliph said that Hazrat Masih Maoodas advised his opponents to pray to Allah seeking His Guidance concerning the truthfulness or falseness of his claims. He said that instead of issuing fatwas of disbelief they should ask Allah to guide them and hence it would be most appropriate to pray to Him and seek His decision in the matter. The caliph said that instead of just following their leaders the general Muslim public should have recourse to the method prescribed by Hazrat Masih Maoodas. He also said that many persons were guided to the truthfulness of Hazrat Masih Maoodas through this method and that even today there are many people who are still being guided to Jamaat Ahmadiyya through this method. The caliph then gave several examples of how people were being drawn towards the Jamaat through dreams.

Now it stands to reason that what applied to the Muslims in general should also apply to Ahmadis in particular. Today Ahmadis are being confronted with the same problem. They have in their midst several persons who are making claims that they are from Allah. It is true that each claimant should try to present his case and give the supporting evidence of his mandate from Allah. But in the face of such a problem why should Ahmadis just listen to what their caliph (leader) says? Ahmadis should have recourse to Allah and ask for His Help as prescribed by Hazrat Masih Maoodas. If they make istekhara and Allah has shown them that all the claimants to divine missions are false they should publish the information that they have received from Allah. This would have been of immense help even to others so that they might not fall into the trap of believing those who should not be accepted.

But what do we see? Some people try to discuss but quite timidly. The caliph himself does not dare to make any pronouncement refuting all the claimants and establishing his legitimacy. All his attempts up till now to show that he is the vicegerent of Allah on earth have miserably failed. They are only words. Once he is challenged on his words he just remains silent as if he had not made any declaration at all or he has not heard anything at all. Here I am making particular reference to my questions (http://www.jaam-international.org/eng/dec/Review_of_HKM5_Address_26072009.pdf) to him and I am also aware of the other challenges that have been addressed to the Jamaat by another claimant from another country. Since there are so many people who according to him are being guided by Allah to the Jamaat it would be fair to ask how much guidance the caliph himself has from Allah to reject all those whom he has rejected. But the truth is as clear as the day. His decision to reject those who are saying that they come from Allah is not based on any guidance from Allah. It is not based on the book of Allah nor on the Sunna of the Holy Prophet Mohammadsaw and even less on clear-cut instructions from Hazrat Masih Maood as. The caliph is carrying on with the mistakes of his predecessors just like the masses of the Muslims follow their self appointed leaders in misguidance. Hence the prescription that the caliph wants the masses of Muslims to apply to themselves, he should start by applying it to himself and his own followers. Had he used this prescription of Hazrat Masih Maoodas and found that Allah has made it quite clear to him the status of all the claimants and that he is the only one who is on the right path, then we would have at least known what is his considered view on the whole matter. But up till now this is not the case. There is no attempt to guide others but only to maintain the status quo.

But as far as I am concerned, together with my friends we are trying to stick to what is true. We keep an open mind and are ready to exchange views with anyone who might have contrary viewpoints. We have declared many times if we are proved to be wrong we will accept our mistakes. Unfortunately or rather fortunately up till now no one has dared to challenge what we are saying in either writing or in other forms. The only measure that has been taken to counter us has been to boycott us in social functions so that we do not meet with other Ahmadis and do not discuss our ideas with them. Remember what I told you sometime back that Hazrat Masih Maoodas has said that without face to face dialogue the search for truth in matters of religion will be vain. Ahmadis should have shown their boldness under the leadership of their caliph and demolish all arguments that challenge their views one by one. Hazrat Masih Maoodas had such boldness because he knew he was from Allah and Allah stood by him. But this is not the case today. Mainstream Ahmadis have had to retreat because of the new challenge that has been thrown at them.

On Friday 22 April 2011 when I was about to sleep at night the following words were revealed to me in Arabic “Laa iqraha fiddine. Qad tabayyanal roushdo minal ghayye faman yakgour bittaghouta wa you’mim billah faqadistamsaka bil ourwatil wouska lan fisaama laha wallaho sami’oune aleem.” For those who do not know this is verse 257 of Al Baqara. We translate it as follows:

There should be no compulsion in religion. Surely, right has become distinct from wrong; so whosoever refuses to be led by those who transgress, and believes in Allah, has surely grasped a strong handle which knows no breaking. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

I understood this revelation in the light of the removal and replacement of the national amir of Mauritius by the caliph. The amir was appointed by the fourth caliph in 1998 although he was not the first on the elected list. Ignorant of Islamic teachings as he has always been the ex-amir used the divine manifestation to have us removed from the Jamaat. He played his role well and he was so well considered by those in London that he even chaired Jalsa Salana sessions in London. But Allah kept showing us that his actions were bad and he would pay for the evil consequences of his conduct. In Mauritius he was like a mini-caliph. Members of his inner circle did everything they could to support him. Then all of a sudden he was the subject of an enquiry. From insiders we knew that what he did was damning. His die-hard supporters did whatever they could to keep him in place. But who is greater than Allah in Power? Eventually he was forced to step down reluctantly. But we do not know the details. Yet we knew that one day Allah will humiliate him because he was trying with all means at his disposal to humiliate us. Through this revelation Allah makes it clear who was right and who was wrong. Today this has become quite apparent in the Jamaat of Mauritius. Who is following the right path and who is following the wrong path.

To us the mainstream Jamaat is on the wrong path and we, members of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen are on the right path. Several times I have received revelations from Allah confirming this statement of mine. Today Allah has made it clear to all Ahmadis who are those who have received His Help and who are those who have been humiliated. However this humiliation is not exclusive for him. This is the humiliation of all those who have supported him from the caliph downwards. This is the humiliation of the Financial Committee, the Majlis Amila and Tabshir. They thought they could do whatever they like. But they did not know that there was a Power that controls the head of the caliph and has forced him to take the decision that he did not wish to make. Hence the humiliation of the amir is the humiliation of all those who have opposed us and who wanted to see not only our humiliation but our frightening end. In the verse Allah further says that only that person who refuses to obey those “who transgress and believes in Allah has surely grasped a strong handle which knows no breaking.”

Hence Ahmadis in Mauritius should not labour under the delusion that a change of amir will bring an end to their misery. Like other Muslims they have rejected someone who has come from Allah to guide them to practice their religion in the proper way. If the Jamaat under the new amir continues with the transgression that have been in place like boycott, lies, refusal to say salaam and the spreading of hate, the future will still not be good. Allah sees all and Allah hears all. Nothing escapes His Knowledge or His Grasp. So teachings and actions should go hand in hand. Members of the Jamaat of Mauritius should stop following those who transgress, meaning those who go against the commandments of Allah. As a Jamaat they should muster enough courage to tell their caliph that he does not have any right to force them to go against the teachings of the Holy Quran and the practice of the Holy Prophet (saw) nor against the teachings of Hazrat Masih Maoodas. Such anti Islamic teachings have created a lot of havoc in Mauritius and it has to stop now. It is only then that they will truly believe in Allah. Once they do this they will grasp “a strong handle which knows no breaking.” If they fail to take the opportunity that Allah is giving them now they should beware of worst days that will come to them because as a Jamaat they have disobeyed Allah although they may declare on all roof tops that they are His most sincere followers.

In addition Allah revealed to me the following day, that is on Saturday 23rd April “Wa makro Oulaaeka howa yabour” and “Jaa’al haqqo wa zahakal baatil innal baatila kaana zahouka”. The first phrase is the last part of a longer verse which runs as follows “Whoso desires honour, then let him know that all honour belongs to Allah. Unto Him ascend good words, and righteous work does He exalt. And those who plot evils — for them are a severe punishment; and the plotting of such will perish.” Here again Allah draws our attention to what has been going on within Jamaat Ahmadiyya Mauritius with the knowledge of the caliph. Those who plot evil will perish. And there is no one who is truer to his word than Allah. I say it again the Ahmadiyya caliph bears a large share of responsibility in what has been going on in Mauritius. The Holy Quran is quite clear on those who act like he does. On the day of resurrection each one will carry his own burden and he or she will be questioned about his deeds. So the caliph should beware because his actions are not as good as it should have been. Jamaat Ahmadiyya is here to remove all sorts of evil. Under no circumstance should we condone it. All of us should constantly remember that Allah sees and records all our words and actions. Under no circumstance should we harm anyone in words or deeds if we declare that we are Ahmadis. It is a well known fact that this has not been the case with the Jamaat in Mauritius and at many other places around the world.

The second phrase means: “truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Indeed Falsehood disappears quickly”. It is time for the Ahmadis in Mauritius to reflect about what has happened to the one who was considered “best” amongst them. What has he done! How invincible he thought he was! How much support he had within the Jamaat here and abroad! How much he roared in his defence of a misunderstood khilafat. How much he was bent to finish us off. Yet he was a false one and he had to disappear. This is what we have been saying because it was promised to us. This is what has happened. Let those who have the capacity to reflect use it.

If our actions do not match our words we are nothing in the sight of Allah. In addition we will incur the wrath of Allah on ourselves if we do not do what we say. Jamaat Ahmadiyya in Mauritius should start seeking Allah’s forgiveness for all the evil that most of the members have committed in their blind obedience to their caliph. Previously even if they did wrong it might have been considered ignorance and Allah might show His Indulgence. But now that we are pointing out to them all the evils that they have been doing, they will have no excuse in the sight of Allah because Allah has sent them someone to teach them what the path that leads to His Pleasure is. So All Ahmadis in Mauritius should take care and make amends for all evils committed knowingly and unknowingly in the name of religion.

Allah revealed to Hazrat Masih Maood asYansoroka rijaaloun nouhi elayhim minas samaaé” meaning “We will help you by men to whom We will send our revelation from heaven”. The mainstream Jamaat has always maintained that these are the people who receive dreams or revelations about the truthfulness of Hazrat Masih Maood as. But who is allowed to make such a restricted interpretation? The other interpretation is that there will be people who will receive revelations from Allah to preserve the teachings of the Promised Messiah because there will always be people who will try to corrupt his teachings. In fact this meaning is even more relevant when we read what Hazrat Masih has told us about corruption in religion and how it is removed. Allah knows best. More incha Allah next week.
